Natural splendour, combined to the mineralogical properties ensuring its perfect preservation over time, made the term "marble" arouse imeges of beauty and eternity down the centuries.
All the applications of marble, which have been improved over time through the development of increasingly sophisticated technology, are evidence of the uniqueness of this material, which endure time well and is perfectly fit to express the ideas of every artist, designer, architect or poet.

The History of Italian and international poetry is actually rich in suggestive references: Dante, Petrarca, Foscolo, Leopardi, Goethe, are some of the greatest poets who "celebrated" this
noble product of nature, extolling and admiring its qualities, magnificently expressed in ancient monuments.

Michelangelo, choosing the marble of Carrara as a raw material for his sculptures, wrote in a letter to his brother:
"oh one thousand times damn the day and time i left Carrara! This is the cause of my ruin: but soon i will back there".

Over 500 years have gone by, and that marble still exists! The ability of stone sector to keep developing all the time, while remaining deeply rooted in the origins of the raw material, allowed such sectors as architecture, building, sculpting and interior decoration to develop and become more and more involved
